Avon Armchair

The Avon Armchair is the perfect companion to the Avon Sofa, or a superb standalone piece in its own right. Sharing the same classic proportions and traditional construction as the sofa, it is built on a solid beech frame with coil springs and curled hair filling, with a feather and down seat cushion. Available in four sizes from a compact occasional chair to a generous reading chair.

• Solid beech frame, mortise and tenon jointed
• Traditional double-cone coil springs, hand-lashed
• Curled hair and cotton felt filling — no foam
• Feather and down seat cushion
• Turned hardwood legs — wax, paint, or ebonised
• COM accepted — lead time approximately 8–12 weeks

Dimensions

Fabric quantities are based on plain cloth — please allow extra for patterned or napped fabrics. The Small and Medium are based on the Howard & Sons Bridgewater and the Large on the Howard & Sons Ivor, whose proportions also inspired our Avon Sofa. As a bespoke maker we can adjust any dimension to suit your room.
